Cupcake

I created this card for my great niece's third birthday on Friday. I used the cupcake treat bag on page 201 of the Spring-Summer 2009 catalogue as inspiration. While I own the Big Shot, I don't own the Sizzlets dies, so I used my Cricut and the Cricut Design Studio to create the base of the cupcake, the icing and the candles. (The icing is six circles welded on to an oval.) I finally bought the Sure Cuts A Lot software (WOW! and YAHOO!) so I used it for the flames (Wingdings - Uppercase S) and the three (Arial Black 1.85") I didn't have the three on the card at first, but decided to add it afterwards... I'm wondering if I should have made it a different colour or used designer series paper. Here is the card minus the three: I don't think you tell that I used the Glassy Glaze enamel on the flames so that they shine. If I had Crystal Effects, that might have been easier than using the Glassy Glaze Enamel as the flames were tiny and had to be temporarily stuck down so the heat tool wouldn't blow them away, but then the Glassy Glaze oozing over the sides stuck to the scrap paper!

Thanks for looking,
Kim
