Santa

I loved Mothermark's tags and I wanted to use the idea to create a card for my 6 year old nephew.
It was a little challenging figuring out what size to make the circles - I decided on 1.75" for the large circles for the beard and mustache. The smaller circles on the beard are 1.25". The eyes, nose, and mouth are punched with a 1/2" circle punch. The pom-pom and eyebrows are from a 0.75" circle. I made the band for the hat 1 1/2"wide.
I was using up some Real Red cardstock that had poinsettias and swirls on it... I did it during a Stampers 10 group a few years back so I have no idea what stamp was used - I think it may have been a wheel.

Mistakes to avoid - make the band for the hat as wide as the card. I thought I would be thrifty with my paper and only made my band half the width of the card and it ended up not being totally covered by the hat so I had to make another one. Also, create your card with the fold at the top so it will stand up better. Watch where you put the glue on the circles for the beard as they stick out beyond the card.

Thanks for looking,
Kim
